Hello friends! Here is the third and final part of my Coffee and Coats series. It’s been a joy creating these posts and exploring new cafes to share with you all. I hope you find these interesting and if so, I’m eager to continue discovering more hidden gems. If you haven’t seen the last two parts, you can check out part 1 and part 2.
For as long as I’ve lived in the Bay Area, I never made time to go visit the Google Visitor Center and I bring this up because that’s where this cafe I visited is located. It’s called Cafe at Mountain View and the first thing I noticed was how beautiful the area was. There is a large space for people to walk around and plenty of spaces to work or chill. Inside the cafe, they also have a space for small business pop-ups that you can walk around and shop, and they host various workshops as well. Next door to the cafe is the Google store where you can buy merchandise and Google products. The visitor center is a great place to check out if you’re in the area.
Cafe at Mountain View
I ordered a iced matcha latte and a roast potato herb salad and to be honest, some of the items on the menu were a bit pricey for the amount they give. The matcha was lacking in flavor, but the salad I had was pretty good. One thing I regret not capturing more of was the interior of the space. It felt very modern and the space was kept in good condition. The space felt very welcoming and most of the seats indoors were cushioned. If you plan to sit outdoors, there had beautiful wooden benches. Since the weather was pretty nice, I decided to sit outdoors and enjoy the sun. I would recommend checking out this cafe for their aesthetics and just to experience seeing Google and what they have to offer, but foodwise, I think there are better places for your money.
The Outfit
For this outfit, I’m wearing my green Uniqlo coat which I think may have been discontinued unfortunately, but it’s my favorite coat. It’s definitely a staple in my wardrobe as it goes with almost all my clothes. It’s perfect to wear on casual outings. I paired it with a black top inside and my white Oak and Fort pants. Originally, the plan was to throw together an outfit for the colder weather, but I didn’t expect it to get warmer in the South Bay later in the day. It ended up being somewhere in the 70’s. If you can’t tell, I’m sweating in these photo’s haha. Aside from that, this outfit would have been perfect. The shoes are from Alohas, and they are the most comfortable boots I own.
