Welcome to the start of a new chapter for Sharon My Style! I’m glad you were able to stumble upon my blog – I’m excited to begin sharing some of my experiences and hobbies on this platform. I’ve always been interested in exploring new places and trying new things, so this blog will serve as a journal to document and help other people through my experiences. I hope to build a community and create discussions through this platform.
I wanted to give you all a brief overview into my life and why I decided to start this blog. I am looking forward to talking with you all! 😄
Who is Sharon?
To begin this journey, I grew up in the Bay Area and developed an interest in fashion during high school. To express my growing passion, I created a blog as a creative outlet for myself where I could share my style. Fast forward to after I graduated, I went to a community college for two years and transferred to University of California, Santa Cruz where I got my bachelor’s degree in computer science. I posted fashion content on my old blog from time to time, but I found myself in a creative rut during my college years. After I graduated university, I started working as a Software Engineer (and still am). That’s pretty much my whole life story up till this point (Not very interesting haha..).
During my days off, I enjoy traveling and trying new things (especially food). Most people around me know that my hobbies are always changing, so I end up trying a lot of different things even though I’m not very good at them. Some of my current hobbies include bouldering, biking, hiking, boxing, and baking. Let me know if any of you are into these as well! When my social battery is drained and I just want to be a hermit at home, I enjoy watching Korean and Chinese dramas, thrillers, true crime documentaries or docuseries. If you enjoy watching these, we should talk!
What inspired me to start blogging?
Since a young age, my fascination with fashion has inspired me to channel that passion into a creative medium for self-expression and sharing my experiences.
I also want to share some of my experiences with my everchanging hobbies and places I’ve traveled to. I want to use this blog as a creative outlet to share my knowledge of the places I’ve been to and to help inspire other people who are interested in the same topics. It will also serve as a memoir of my adventures. I think it will be fun to do something outside of work that still feels productive and push me to learn more creative skills and motivate me to step outside my comfort zone.
